recipe: baked & spiced chickpeas

...Literally. It's been awhile since a recipe post, I don't cook too often in Portugal and I do miss it. I found this recipe here just in time... for swimsuit season that is. I love to snack. This is probably the perfect snack, for me, satisfaction of a chip but the nutritional value of a chick pea! Another plus, I finally made use of the can of garbanzo beans I've had in my cabinet for 3 weeks. Easy. Cheap. Healthy. Delicious.

1 can chickpeas, drained, rinsed and patted dry.
place in a rimmed cookie sheet, or whatever works, and let bake at 450°F for 35-40 minutes.
(shaking every now and then... until golden brown.)

Pour into a larger bowl and lightly coat with olive oil spray.
Toss together 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/8 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp oregano, coarse salt
...more or less to taste.

Toss to coat evenly and voilà!

So good, definitely give it a try.
Don't forget this recipe will be kept under the foodie page of dragon fruit :)
